The money is not in the bank !!

We had a closing on a Thursday and my seller was expecting their wire, It was bad enough, we had a delayed closing. I asked the title company when can my seller expect to see their funds in their account.

The title company said they should see it the next day around 11:00 am.  So I told my client when they should receive it.  The next day, my client contacted me, telling me “It’s not there”, I immediately called the title company, and lo and behold, no one answers. I started to “freak” out, just a little.  I emailed the title agent and hoped and prayed, she would email me back with a “reasonable” response.

I keep refreshing my email page, hoping to see a reply back. None, at the most wanted moment.  I then decide to go visit this particular title’s company’s Facebook page.  I inboxed a message and ask them about this intense situation at hand.

I was so pleased that I had received a swift reply.  They were closed due to the weather.  She explained the bank was closed as this prevented them from wiring my client’s  money. And another bummer was my clients would have to wait all weekend and get this, the kicker – Monday was a federal holiday. Fun Fun, Not!
